In the last three years, salaries in the countries of the region have grown at a much faster rate than in Albania, deepening the difference between the income received by an employee in Serbia, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina, compared to an Albanian. .
The average gross salary for these countries fluctuates between 800-900 euros per month, from about 520 euros which is the average in Albania, or on average about 40% higher than here.
Monitor has processed the official data of the statistical institutes of Albania, Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina for average monthly gross salaries, which are available until September 2022. While Kosovo, the last data available end of 2021.
This salary has been compared in nominal value (not indexed to inflation) with the third quarter of 2019, before the start of the pandemic.
Montenegro has the second highest average salary in the region, at 885 euros per month at the end of the third quarter of 2022, although the gap with other countries has narrowed, due to slower growth (by about 14% from September 2019), according to the Statistics Office of Montenegro.

Rritje e lartë e pagave është shënuar dhe në Bosnjë Hercegovinë, duke arritur në 893 euro, më e larta në rajon, me zgjerim 24% nga tremujori i tretë 2019, sipas Agjencisë së Statistikave të Bosnjë Hercegovinës.
Në Shqipëri, paga mesatare e një punonjësi ishte 522 euro në shtator 2022, nga 440 tre vjet më parë, me një rritje prej rreth 19%, sipas INSTAT. (shiko grafikun: Paga mesatare mujore bruto në rajon – euro).
Agjencia e Statistikave të Kosovës i ka raportuar të dhënat deri në fund të vitit 2021, me pagën mesatare që ishte 484 euro, duke e bërë atë së bashku me Shqipërinë dy vendet që i paguajnë më pak punonjësit e tyre.
Sa pak u rritën pagat në Shqipëri në tre vjet
Shqipëria është e dyta me rritjen më të ulët në përqindje të pagave, pas Malit të Zi për periudhën shtator 2019-shtator 2022. Por, për shkak se Mali i Zi ka paga të larta, në vlerë nominale pagat e punonjësve shqiptarë kanë shënuar zgjerimin më të ulët.
Pas tre vitesh, një punonjës shqiptar merr 83 euro më shumë. Punonjësit e Serbisë janë ata që kanë pasur përfitimin më të lartë, teksa marrin 248 euro më shumë. This situation is encouraging a mass exodus, especially of young people, creating numerous problems in the labor market, while dictating the increase in wages in the country.
