Ndërsa Partia Demokratike nën drejtimin e Kryetarit në Detyrë Z. Alibeaj, falë stoicizmit dhe qëndrueshmërisë së tij, në kushtet e agresionit të brendshëm dhe të jashtëm, rezistoi, nuk u asgjësua dhe përmes një fushatë dinjitoze dhe një narrative politike të qartë, në zgjedhjet lokale mori 104 mijë vota të pastra idealistësh që e besuan atë.
Artikulimi i kauzave të rëndësishme për demokracinë dhe marrja e përgjegjësisë për t’i jetësuar ato është themeltar. Por, ajo që përbën interes dhe e vendos Lulzim Bashën në një dimension të ri, sot, është qasja me të vërtetën, transparenca për vendimarrjet me kosto për vendin dhe vendosmëria e tij për t’i shkuar deri në fund këtij misioni.
