You should never eat sweets before bed

Too much sugar can lead to weight gain or obesity, cause tooth decay and increase the risk of diabetes.

Research from 2016 showed that people who consume large amounts of sugar tend to sleep less deeply and experience greater restlessness at night and often suffer from insomnia, which can often become a chronic problem.
According to clinical psychologist Michael Breus, also known as a sleep doctor specializing in sleep disorders, excess sugar leads to a tendency to eat later in the day because blood sugar levels get out of control.
