Montenegro: Milo Djukanovic and Jakov Milatovic will face each other in the second round of the presidential elections

Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic, a veteran politician who has served in the highest state office for 33 years, will face former pro-Western economy minister Jakov Milatovic in the second round of the presidential election, as neither secured a majority enough for a victory in Sunday's election.
The Center for Monitoring and Research in Podgorica said that according to the preliminary results, the current president and the candidate of the Democratic Party of Socialists, Milo Djukanovic, won the largest number of votes, namely, 35.4 percent.
The candidate of the Civic Movement "Europe Now", Jakov Milatovic, won 29.3 percent.
The candidate of the pro-Serbian and pro-Russian Democratic Front, Andrija Mandiç secured 19.1 percent of the votes.
The other four candidates received from 10.9 to 0.8 percent of the votes.
The Center for Democratic Transition announced that 344,700 voters participated in the presidential elections, which is 63.6 percent of the 542,154 citizens with the right to vote.
