The leader of the Albania Initiative coalition, Adriatik Lapaj, says they are close to winning a parliamentary mandate in Fier.
The Albania Initiative needs another 1,000 votes to secure the mandate of the deputy. He added that with the current projection of votes in Fier and the current projection of votes from the diaspora, the political entity he leads could reach 9,000 votes, taking the mandate from the SP.
"We are making sure that every vote cast by citizens is counted. It is being counted at every table. With this projection that we are in now, I think that the first mandate for our movement will be in the Fier region. Because with the projection that we are in now, in Fier we pass 7000 votes and with the projection of the diaspora vote we secure 2000, so we reach 9000 votes and we think that the mandate will belong to us. This is a new plant that we are planting with great dignity and there are 70 thousand votes of dignity. If we take it, the mandate will be taken away from the SP", said Lapaj.
