"He speaks with double standards", Rama mentions Salinj Grida Duma: He deserved to be arrested, I couldn't wait for someone to be convicted of defamation

Prime Minister Edi Rama has commented on the sensational arrests of politicians, while being "accused" by journalists on "Top Story" for his double-standard stance.

Speaking about justice during these 12 years, Rama spoke of a significant improvement, as he expressed his conviction that the final guarantee of equality before the law in Albania can only be obtained when it joins the EU.

Meanwhile, regarding the double standard stance towards justice, Rama said that he had only commented on the final decision. Referring to the Salianj case, the socialist leader considered it the most deserved decision. 

"The case of Salianji, historic for justice and against selling. He was sentenced with full merit, he deserved it, it would have been good if it had happened to someone else. I could hardly wait for someone in Albania to be sentenced for defamation," Rama said.
