Political scientist Ermal Hasimja, invited to the "Off the Record" studio by Andrea Danglli, on A2CNN, stated that "most likely, the next protest after the one on February 10 will come from the opposition parties' table."
"The protest will work when the square will not be just militants and activists of the Democratic Party, or even other parties, because most likely the next protest after this will come from the table we are organizing. The moment these protests are joined by other citizens who are not directly engaged or connected to the parties, it makes a difference. This is the objective that I think they should not have, but I believe that the Democratic Party and other opposition parties actually have it," said Hasimja.
According to him, "we have seen that in those cases where protests have worked, for example in the case of chemical waste, this was the element that made the difference."
"If there were people in the square who had no connection to the parties, this would scare the government, because in fact it is all that large mass of people. If you look at the polls today, you have from 20 to 25% who do not know who they will vote for, who are disappointed with the government and have reservations about these opposition members. However, it could also happen that that is done and the issue of the caretaker government still does not come to fruition. But, at least the message is given and it is a message that is quite intimidating for the government. Second, also for further mobilization of public opinion.
