Ola Xama: The municipality company forcibly evicted residents from their homes

Journalist Ola Xama said in the show "Te Paespozuarit" on MCN TV that a company created by the municipality run by Veliaj 1 year after the earthquake of November 26, 2019, has forcibly evicted residents in some areas of Tirana to build buildings. She said that their lives have been ruined.

From what I have met on the ground with residents in Tirana whose lives have been destroyed by "Tirana DC" because they were forcibly evicted from their homes in 5 Maji, Myslym Keta, Kombinat, Astir, to the former Dinamo Factory, where there is a building in very good condition and 4 years after the earthquake the municipality thinks it is dangerous to live. There are 55 families and they are not even told where they will be accommodated beforehand.

The extreme case was of an 84-year-old resident who was evicted, while the rental bonus fund has been reduced and every week there are protests in front of the municipality," said Xama.
