Former MP Ervin Salianji has declared that he will run in the race for chairman of the Democratic Party, in the elections scheduled for May 23, and does not consider Flamur Noka's "exceptions".
Invited to the show "Kjo Javë" on News24 , and on Ylli Rakimit's TPZ, Salianji said that he will participate in the race, but raised concerns about the way the process is being organized within the party.
"Yes, I will be in the race for the presidency of the DP, despite the fact that the election date has been set, which is May 23, but the DP has not properly defined the process, because there is a principle where voter lists, rules for contestants and equal conditions of competition are issued, as is done in general elections," he said.
Salianji emphasized the need for the Democratic Party leadership race to be conducted on clear and equal standards for all candidates, so that the process is credible and transparent.
