Gjimshiti's injury, first information on the defender's absence is given

Berat Gjimshiti left the field of play in the second half of the match against Milan after receiving a blow to the ankle following a tackle. The Albanian player could not continue and Gasperini was forced to replace him.

According to Italian media, there is concern that Gjimshiti will not be in optimal form in the final matches of the season, where Atalanta will resolve the issue of qualification for the Champions League.

He is expected to be rested initially for the next match against Lecce, as the club does not want to risk him for the much more complicated matches to come.

Gjimshiti's recovery at the end of the season would be important for the Albanian national team, considering the crucial June qualifiers against Serbia and Latvia.
