Inzaghi: Zielinski, excellent signing, we've had a wonderful journey

Simone Inzaghi, Inter coach, was interviewed by Polish television TVPSport.pl after the 1-0 victory against Sparta Prague in the Czech Republic, where he was naturally asked a question about Piotr Zielinski:

"He is a great player, he has integrated very well with us and is constantly growing. We are extremely happy with him.

He recently played three games in one week, and against Sparta Prague I preferred to start him from the bench.

He can play both in front of defense and in a more offensive role, he has a lot of experience.

"He is an excellent signing and a player who fits very well into our team."

How do you evaluate Inter's performance in the Champions League?

"We've had a wonderful journey. We only conceded one goal, in the last minute from a corner kick, which shouldn't have happened. Previously, in the Champions League, we only conceded one goal to Leverkusen.

We played seven good games and, most importantly, we competed against strong teams: Manchester City, Arsenal, Leipzig, Leverkusen and now Sparta Prague.

"I hope that in the last match against Monaco we can go straight to the round of 16."

Meanwhile, on Sunday Inter will return to the field at 'Via del Mare', against Lecce, for the match valid for the 22nd week of the championship. The match is expected to start at 18:00.
