Xabi Alonso opens fire on Bayern: The title is not decided

Coach Xabi Alonso said anything could happen in the Bundesliga title race after his team cut Bayern Munich's lead to six points with a 3-1 win over Stuttgart. Leverkusen avoided a fourth consecutive defeat as the German champions came from 3-1 down to beat Stuttgart 4-3 on Sunday evening.
The victory saw the Aspirins close the gap on Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich to six points, meaning there is still plenty to play for with eight games remaining. "To have that wonderful feeling again after these ten days, that was important for all of us," coach Xabi Alonso said after the match.
As for the title race, he said all Leverkusen can do is try to win their remaining games. "A lot can happen. We have to win game after game. It's out of our hands." Aspirin midfielder Robert Andrish also made it clear that the champions have not given up on overtaking Bayern at the top of the table. "We just want to keep them going until the end," he said.
CALENDAR – There are 8 rounds left until the end of the Bundesliga during the 2024-2025 cycle. The fact that the Bavarian giants are 6 points ahead of the reigning champions Leverkusen somewhat reassures fans of the most titled club in Germany.
However, nothing is certain. If we analyze the calendar, the last few weeks will decide everything, where both Bayern and Leverkusen will face difficult opponents, such as: Mainz, Leipzig, M'Gladbach, Freiburg and Dortmund.
