"Some die for their bread!" - Elderly man in protest: Our pension

A pensioner who joined the 18th citizen protest in Tirana for the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama has raised concerns about the economic situation of the elderly, stating that many pensioners cannot even afford basic expenses.

"Pensioners, first and foremost, are struggling to make ends meet. A good portion of them do not receive more than 100 thousand old lek per month. Where will they use it? For medicine, for rent, for water, for electricity," he said, adding that the prime minister spends that much money on a meal, no more.

The elderly man emphasized that the citizens' revolt is not only related to the issue of Zvërnec or Sazan, but to many others, such as the sale of Albania.

"We are not protesting here just for Zvërnec and Sazan, but for every corner of Albania that is being sold and the money is not going to the people, but to this tall, two-meter-tall man with his clan of dogs," he said.

Pensioner: We, as slightly older people, have also tried to follow you and support you. I speak on behalf of pensioners, that stratum that has suffered both in that regime and in this one. For 35 years, they have only deceived, stolen, and corrupted different people, starting from America and all the way to the end of the world. They have left nothing uncorrupted and compromised.

Pensioners, first and foremost, are struggling to make ends meet. A good portion of them do not receive more than 100 thousand old lek per month. Where will they use it? For medicine, for rent, for water, for electricity. While this scumbag here spends that much lek for a meal, no more.

We are not protesting here only for Zvërnec and Sazan, but for every corner of Albania that is being sold and the money is not benefiting the people, but this tall, two-meter-tall man, with his clan of dogs. Therefore, we must not stop our protest until the last point of our energies. Let the square be filled even more every night.
