The murder of the Albanian businessman in Italy, 53-year-old Artan Kaja, who passed away a few days ago, has been revealed.

As Italian media reports, Kaja did not die of a heart attack, as initially reported, but from gunshot wounds. From the investigation, police have identified and arrested the suspected perpetrator, 50 years old, who is said to be a friend and compatriot of the victim.

It is learned that he surrendered to the police one day after the incident and confessed to the crime in the company of his lawyer, but the police arrested him after verification.

The suspected killer has shown that he climbed a low wall surrounding the company and waited for Artan in a dark and deserted area near the paper factory, and that there were no surveillance cameras. He indicated that this is where he pulled the trigger and committed the crime.

50 years old, also worked with the victim and was a truck driver by profession. According to what has emerged so far, a few weeks ago the two had a heated argument about work issues and the tragic event may have come as a sign of revenge against the victim.

Italian media reports that the murder weapon has not yet been found.

Kaja's dead body was found shortly after 20:00 on Tuesday, January 7, near a company warehouse, lying on the ground. Artan Kaja, known to everyone as Tony, worked at the Smurfit company for many years and was responsible for moving pallets of material made and used in the paper mill.

On the evening of the incident, it was his wife, Aurora, who raised the alarm, not seeing him return home at a time when the husband usually left work.

After calling her husband several times, but not receiving an answer, she informed the police and went to the warehouse where he worked.

The couple, who had two children named Manuel and Alessio, actually lived a few hundred meters away from the company, where the woman also worked in the cleaning sector.
