A dangerous criminal group that was involved in the trade of firearms, explosives and combat ammunition in various areas of Tirana has been hit by the police. The operation codenamed "Network" has been successfully finalized by the blue uniforms of Commissariat No. 4, under the direction of the Tirana Prosecutor's Office.
During the final phase of this operation, the police have arrested 4 citizens and have declared 2 others wanted. Meanwhile, the overall balance of this investigation, which has been extended over time, is frightening: in total, 9 people have been arrested and 17 firearms, TNT molds and luxury cars have been seized.
As part of the "Network" operation, the services of Commissariat No. 4 have executed arrest warrants for 4 members of this criminal group. They are:
Also, two young men have been declared wanted and efforts are underway to capture them: Kevin Vila, 21 years old, and Bledar Avdillari, 28 years old.
During the last check, 7 firearms (4 pistols and 3 automatic rifles), as well as a large amount of combat ammunition, were found and seized from these citizens as material evidence.
The investigations conducted revealed that these 6 citizens, in collaboration with 5 other people who had been arrested earlier by the police, were acting as a well-organized criminal group. They were obtaining heavy weapons and explosives and then selling them in various locations in the capital, posing a serious threat to public order and safety.
Previously, as part of this network, the following citizens were arrested: Donati Jaku, Florian Gjeta, Urim Meta, Ligor Mehmeti and Klodian Mustafa.
As a result of the entire investigation period and successive actions against this group, the police have blocked a large amount of weapons:
-17 firearms (pistols and automatic weapons)
-4 cans of explosives (tretitol)
-Large amount of combat ammunition
-4 vehicles and 13 mobile phones
