Two Albanian brothers, 20 and 25 years old, have been sentenced to 18 years in prison each for the murder of their compatriot Albert Deda, 24 years old.

As reported, the crime took place in Padua after a fight between the brothers and the victim. The brothers Ilmi and Klinton Rakipaj were accused of intentional murder, double attempt and possession of a knife.

The local media reports that the two brothers will have to pay 300,000 euros each to the two seriously injured people in the fight that took place on July 23 last year in via Dorighello, in the Forcellini neighborhood, as well as give a total of 500 thousand euros for the parents of Albert Deda who was stabbed in the heart.

Clinton and Ilmi Rakipaj, who lived in apartment no. 8 in via Dorighello, received a visit from three people, the brothers had refused to accommodate one of their compatriots, who had arrived the day before. Among them was Albert Deda, who knew the two brothers well as he had previously been their roommate.

Clinton and Ilmi Rakipaj, after a momentary argument with the 3 people who had gone down to their apartment, used the knives they had with them, killing their 24-year-old friend and seriously injuring the other two compatriots, respectively 26 and 28 years old.

The two brothers then tried to escape in a red Renault Clio to avoid trouble with the law. Their plan failed 20 kilometers from the state border, when they were stopped by the police at the intersection of the Villesse highway.
