The US State Department announced the arrest of the niece and great-niece of Iranian General Qasem Soleimani, the head of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, who was killed in an attack in Baghdad six years ago. Meanwhile, an official reaction was made by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, through a post on his social media account “X”.
Where Rubio writes: “Until recently, Hamideh Soleimani Afshar and her daughter were green card holders and lived in luxury in the United States. Now they are in the custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents and will be deported.”
