A serious incident occurred this afternoon in Durrës, in neighborhood no. 14 in Nishtulla, where a couple was beaten with fists inside their car by several people, for whom the prosecution initiated criminal proceedings against a 44-year-old man, while his 2 accomplices were declared wanted.
The abused woman spoke to News24 today, expressing fear about the situation that has caused the entire family to isolate themselves at home.
"We are afraid to leave the house for fear of being beaten again. I haven't even gone out to buy bread for the children!", said V. Meçani.
According to citizen V. Meçani, the first person to be hit by a group of several people was 55-year-old Fatmir Meçani,
"At the moment his brother, Lulzim, Fatmir's wife, and his sister-in-law were accompanying him to the hospital, their car was hit by the same people who had previously caused Fatmir to bleed ," the woman says.
After the attack on their car, the 4 people headed to the Durrës police station, where they filed the appropriate complaint.
In the press release, the police announced that "the specialists for the Investigation of Crimes of the Durrës Police Commissariat referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Durrës, for the criminal offenses of "Intentional Minor Injury" and "Destruction of Property", committed in collaboration, against citizen AZ, 44 years old, resident of neighborhood no. 14, Nishtulla, Durrës.
Also, citizens SZ, 46 years old, and VR, 37 years old, both residents of neighborhood no. 14, Nishtulla, Durrës, were declared wanted.
The Meçani family, after the violence suffered the day before, feels threatened and defenseless, as long as these citizens are still free.
According to this family, this is not the first time they have raped them, as they have also raped other families and people in the same area.
