PHOTO/ Rama reacted harshly, but why was the poet Mimoza Ahmeti actually punished

Poet Mimoza Ahmeti has been sentenced to 40 hours of public work due to the unauthorized construction of a 2-story building in the village of Petrelë.

Report Tv has provided the prosecution document that shows that more than a year ago, on 23.09.2021, a notice was received that construction was being carried out without a permit.

After the police went to the village of Petrelë, an unfinished, two-story building with concrete columns was found, while no construction work was being carried out at that moment.

Report Tv has also provided the photograph of the building that was being built. After the investigations, in the request that the prosecution sent to the court, it is stated that the object belonged to Mimoza Ahmeti.

But the poet has stated that the works were carried out in the place of her existing house that collapsed due to the earthquake. She claimed that she had received the reconstruction permit and the works were completed from May 2021.

But in response to the prosecution, the General Directorate of Planning and Territorial Development at the Municipality of Tirana informs that 'from the verification of the e-permits electronic system, it is found that there is no application for a construction permit, reconstruction or reconstruction and repair of the building damaged by the natural disaster '. 

Ahmeti thus became the second case of well-known characters to be punished for construction without permission after the singer Bojken Lako.

Patjetër që çdo ndërtim pa leje është i dënueshëm me ligj, po zelli milimetrik në dënimin e atyre që e shkelin ligjin në pronën e tyre të bën për të vjellë përballë mosveprimit sistematik të Prokurorisë së Tiranës ndaj atyre që për qëllime fitimi bëjnë shkelje kilometrike”, shkruan Rama.
