Sentenced until 2041, Albanian escapes again from high-security prison in Italy

Taulant Toma, a dangerous Albanian robber, sentenced to prison until 2041, escaped from prison again during the early hours of this morning, December 7th.
The 41-year-old, considered extremely dangerous and with a criminal history spanning Italy and Europe, managed to escape from the Opera prison in Milan, a maximum security institution.
According to information from Fatto Quotidiano, he cut through the bars of his cell and then climbed outside, taking advantage of the darkness and perhaps a favorable moment during the change of guard shifts. An escape that seems carefully planned, quick and precise.
Born on June 9, 1984 in Albania, Taulant Toma was serving a long sentence for robbery and theft, with the sentence set to expire in 2041. He is no stranger to spectacular escapes, his ability to lose track has challenged Italian and Belgian police.
In the past, he had escaped from Parma prison (also a maximum security institution) along with fellow Albanian Vamentin Frokaj, who was later killed during a villa robbery.
Frokaj had also previously managed to escape from Palermo prison. Taulant Toma was also the protagonist of a sensational escape to Belgium, where European authorities have considered him a high-risk individual for years.
