The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs has repatriated to Albania a 19-year-old man, who was in danger in Sierra Leone.

Through a Facebook announcement, the MFA announced that the mission to find and repatriate the young man began after the 19-year-old's mother requested help from authorities a few days ago.

" Through diplomatic channels and with coordinated support with local authorities and international partners, a rapid and effective response was enabled."

"With the efforts of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, in close cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, the operation was successfully concluded within a short period, enabling the young man to return safe and healthy to his family ," the MFA announced.

There is currently no information about what the young Albanian man in Sierra Leone was at risk of.

After several days of intensive efforts, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEFJ) of Albania has managed to successfully repatriate a young Albanian man, who was in danger in Sierra Leone.

The request for help came from the mother of the 19-year-old, FT, a few days ago, and the MEPJ immediately took the situation under review.

Through diplomatic channels and with coordinated support with local authorities and international partners, a rapid and effective response was enabled.

With the efforts of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, in close cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, the operation was successfully concluded within a short period, enabling the young man to return safe and healthy to his family.

The MEPJ expresses its most sincere thanks to all authorities that participated in this operation and assures that it will continue to provide tireless support to Albanian citizens, wherever they are.
