Applications for the new director of RTSH have closed today, according to the decision taken at the meeting of the RTSH Steering Council on April 1. There are 13 candidates aiming to lead RTSH. Among the names are well-known screen figures, such as journalist Eni Vasili.
After the application period, the Steering Council will review the applications in a second meeting and will continue with the selection process. Another important point of the meeting was the approval of the draft budget of RTSH, an important step in ensuring the sustainable functioning of the Albanian Public Television in the coming years.
Applicants for the Director of RTSH:
The new Board of Directors of the Public Television decided on April 1 to start the race for the General Director of the Albanian Radio Television (RTSH) anew. The newly elected members of the board overturned the entire procedure that had been opened on January 6 for the election of the director, declaring it invalid due to violations that the Assembly found in the process. These irregularities were one of the reasons that led to the dismissal of the 11 previous members of the board of directors.
