Ben Affleck has recently made some rare comments about his ex-wife, Jennifer Lopez. During an interview with “Entertainment Tonight” on the red carpet of the premiere of the film, “The Accountant 2,” the famous actor spoke with great respect for Lopez and expressed happiness that all of their children were present at the event.
"The kids are here, Jen's kids are here. I'm very, very excited. I love it when all the kids come," the 52-year-old said.
Affleck, who has three children with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, and Lopez, who has twins Emme and Max with ex-husband Marc Anthony, appear to maintain a good relationship after the split.
"I don't read a lot of things online, and sometimes I get the impression that people are always trying to find something negative to talk about," he said, adding:
"For the sake of truth, Jennifer Lopez is spectacular, she is very good with my children, she has a great ongoing relationship with them. I love her children. They are wonderful. She is an extremely important person, with a lot of integrity, who I adore and am grateful to have had in my life."
Excited about their presence at the premiere, Affleck added:
"I'm happy that the kids are here with me. The relationships you can create with kids are the joy of my life. They're fantastic kids and I'm happy that this is a film they wanted to watch."
Affleck and Lopez married in July 2022, nearly 20 years after calling off their first engagement. However, after two years of marriage, Lopez filed for divorce in August 2024, and their separation was finalized in January 2025, four months after they had quietly separated.
