Rama on Berisha: He embodies negative radiation, the ultra-fanatic communist

During the interview for the show "Opinion" as a reflection on 35 years of democracy, Prime Minister Edi Rama was also asked about the consequences of communism.

The majority of the country's political leaders, as well as businessmen and other social actors, were educated in the 1970s and 1980s. But has this left a mark on the formation of the country's ruling class?

According to Rama, the greatest damage came from the fact that the opponent was not allowed to express his opinion differently, but instead was publicly degraded.

"The greatest damage I have observed since that time has been that by killing and not allowing the idea of the other to be revived for a single second, not of the opponent, but of the other who has a different way of thinking and precisely why it had to be eradicated, annihilated, it has caused us to have the darkest legacy from the point of view of relations between one and the other from a political and social point of view, where the other continued to be considered an enemy, with the difference that instead of shootings and imprisonments, there was degeneration, mud, attacks, accusations, public degeneration of the other,"  said Rama.

Without mentioning names, but implying Sali Berisha, the leader of the Democratic Party, Rama considers him a disaster because he turned "techniques of degeneration" and "war with any kind of opponent" into a method.

"This is profound, but it is related to the great misfortune that an ultra-fanatic communist turned into an ultra-fanatic conservative and turned the language of hatred, the techniques of degeneration of the other, the fight with any kind of opposition within his own fold and with any kind of opponent into a method. You can say whatever you want about others that Fatos Nano came from the same party, but you can never put Nano in this category that was systematic because he also had his moment when he turned the public degeneration of the other into a method for power within the party, but you can't say about others, who have had the opportunity to exercise power, that they never had it. The only consistent person who has embodied this negative radiation that I said of the communist Chernobyl was the one whose name I am not mentioning now out of respect for myself. The lynchings in the party have started and have continued in a consistent manner with those methods of degeneration of the opponent. All that violence that characterized that regime in the mentality and "rooted at all levels that anyone who appears in front of you and is not like you should be degenerated was transposed to this stage by him there,"  said Rama.
