The "nightmare" ends, traffic on the Librazhd-Përrenjas axis opens after 11 days, vehicles in a "column" to pass

This Tuesday afternoon, the "nightmare" for the entire southeast has ended. As the ARRSH announced earlier, today, vehicle traffic in the affected segment in the Dragostunja area has officially reopened.

The segment in question, which is part of the Librazhd-Përrenjas national axis, had been impassable for 11 days, as a result of massive landslides caused in the area known as "Arrat e Gurrës".

Since that day, ARA employees and the contracting company have been on the ground and have worked intensively to open this axis, which is also the main node connecting the capital with the cities and villages in the southeast of the country.

This road segment has been blocked for 11 days. As a result of erosion and landslides, the asphalt cracked and there were problems on the alternative axis that the ARRSH was going to open days earlier. As a result, the only connection from Tirana to Korça was realized through the Maliq-Moglicë-Gramsh axis, a segment with depreciated infrastructure that was difficult to navigate and increased the duration of the trip by about an hour.
