Wolt riders protest on the streets of Tirana: They've lowered our fares,

A large number of couriers working for the food delivery platform Wolt have taken to the streets of Tirana to protest, demanding respect for their rights and denouncing the reduction in payment fees.

Couriers marched this evening on their motorbikes through the streets of the capital, constantly honking their horns in protest, as seen in the video below published by JOQ.

Couriers claim that the company Wolt has lowered their per-kilometer rates and that many of them are facing pressure and threats of dismissal.

They also say that some employees were fired after it was learned that they would participate in the protest, while others, according to them, were warned not to come out against the company.

Another concern raised by the protesters is related to the claim that the company is trying to replace some of the current couriers with foreign employees, who they say can be paid at lower rates.
