Dr. Kolec Daja, who contributed to the pharmaceutical service, passes away

The Order of Pharmacists of Albania announced today the passing of Dr. Kolec Daja. Dr. Koleci was born on August 14, 1948 in the city of Shkodra. He completed his primary and secondary school in the city of Puka. During the years 1967-1971 he attended higher studies in the pharmacy department at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, University of Tirana.

After graduating, he was appointed director of the pharmacy in Puka. From 1987 to 1992, he worked as director of the Puka Pharmaceutical Company. On February 20, 1992, he was appointed to work at the Ministry of Health in the pharmaceutical branch as chief specialist, a position he held until 1994.

From 1994 to 1998, he worked as the director of “Fufarma” in Tirana. In 1998, he founded the private pharmacy “Daja” in Tirana, where he practiced the profession of pharmacist in the position of technical director, until the moment of his death.

Dr. Koleci was particularly known for his passion and mastery in the field of galenic preparations, following with rigor and professional care all pharmaceutical standards for the creation of personalized galenic preparations, and continuously investing to provide personalized formulations for patients.

The passing of Dr. Kolec is a great loss not only for his family, but also for the pharmaceutical service, for his relatives, friends, colleagues, the patients he served with such dedication, and all those who knew him and had the good fortune to work with him.
