Delvina and its surroundings have experienced an extraordinary situation following the outbreak of a massive fire that has seriously threatened the lives of residents and caused extensive damage.

The flames have spread rapidly towards the village of Vllahat, endangering the homes and property of citizens.

Numerous firefighting forces, military personnel, and local residents have been involved in efforts to extinguish the flames. A Canadair aircraft sent from Italy has also intervened to support the operation.

The situation has been aggravated by the presence of numerous fire outbreaks that have surrounded the city's hills. To prevent the spread of the flames, electricity has been cut off in several areas, while residents of the Kasapaj neighborhood have been completely evacuated.

In the efforts to extinguish the fire, there were casualties and injuries. The material damage is considerable. The National Veterinary Authority has launched an inventory of damage to livestock, crops and orchards, identifying losses in agriculture and livestock. Hundreds of hectares of olive groves and other trees have been scorched, while several stables have been burned by the flames.
