Knife fight in Vlora, two people end up in hospital injured

Two people injured with cutting tools ended up in the Vlora hospital this evening, while the circumstances and causes still remain unclear and are being investigated by the local police.

The incident occurred late tonight and is initially suspected to have occurred after an argument, while after a pursuit by Traffic Police officers, two people believed to be involved in the crime were arrested and taken into custody.

Police said the crime is suspected to have occurred after a conflict between them in the 'Pelivan Leskaj' neighborhood of the coastal city.

The injured have been taken to hospital and are reported to have stab wounds to their bodies. The two injured are receiving medical attention.

The police have also gone to the hospital premises to clarify the circumstances, the people involved, the causes, and whether there are other perpetrators involved. According to initial information, it is suspected that the injury of the two people came after a quarrel with another group, which degenerated into the use of knives.

The health condition of the injured is reported to be out of danger. Meanwhile, a knife was also found at the scene.

Police sources also said that the two suspects in the incident have been escorted to the Vlora Police Station for further action and clarification of the dynamics and causes.
