Burgajet–Derjan–Macukull road collapses just 8 months after asphalting

Just eight months after the works were completed, the Burgajet–Derjan–Macukull road in the municipality of Mati has been significantly damaged, raising doubts about the quality of the works and the way public funds were used.

Democratic Party MP Denisa Vata has published footage from the damaged segment, stating that the road has collapsed in several parts, although it was inaugurated as a completed investment with a fund of 54 million lek including VAT, financed by the Albanian Development Fund.

Are we dealing with fictitious works, or with the use of public funds for electoral purposes, creating the facade of “work done”?
Meanwhile, the Mat Municipality declares it a “promise kept”.
On May 6, the Mat Municipality publicly announced that the Burgajet–Derjan–Macukull segment had been asphalted and was presented as a completed investment, “that transforms livelihoods”.
But today we have a video where the asphalt turns out to be cracked and damaged, not in the same place where the road collapsed during the rains in the village of Urxallë (Dërjan Adm. Unit), but new damage.
So we have a road with some damage.
The ADF contract of 54,677,525 lekë with VAT had an end date of April 2025.
We are in December 2025.

Why does the road present damage 8 months after the asphalt has been finished?
The questions are clear:
Did the Municipality take delivery of this segment?
If so, by what standard was it accepted?
How is it possible that a segment delivered as completed and certified by institutions is damaged again, just a few months after completion?
If not:
How is the publication as "completed" of an investment that has not yet been legally taken delivery justified?
This is not explained by rainfall, climate, or "natural hazards".
This shows serious problems with the quality, supervision and standards of the works.
Call for SPAK:
Investigation into the documentation, delivery and supervision of this road.
Why is the road damaged when it has only been completed for 8 months?
The Democratic Party will submit videos, evidence and documents to SPAK for a full investigation.
