The government has approved the allocation of a reconstruction fund of 220 million lek to repair damage to homes from the earthquake.
Specifically, in the amount of 169,850,000 (one hundred and sixty-nine million eight hundred and fifty thousand) lek excluding VAT, for the financing of the reconstruction of individual housing units in the Municipality of Durrës.
•The use of the reconstruction fund, in the amount of 5,314,932.40 (five million, three hundred and fourteen thousand, nine hundred and thirty-two point forty) lek excluding VAT, to finance the reinforcement of individual homes for those individuals whose homes are classified as severely damaged buildings, resulting in a damage level of DS4 and which do not need to be rebuilt from scratch, but need reconstruction works, based on in-depth expert reports, in the Shijak Municipality.
The financial effect in the amount of 5,314,932.40 (five million, three hundred and fourteen thousand, nine hundred and thirty-two point forty) lekë is covered by the expenses of the reconstruction fund, approved for 2025, and is transferred to the Shijak Municipality in the form of an unconditional transfer.
