Rubio accuses Maduro regime of collaborating with terrorists and organized crime

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has sharply criticized the regime of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, accusing it of refusing to cooperate with the United States military in the fight against narcoterrorism.
During a public statement, Rubio said that there is only one regime that is not cooperating with the United States in this global battle. “There is one country that is not cooperating, and that is the illegitimate regime in Venezuela. Not only is it not cooperating with us, but it is openly cooperating with terrorists and criminal elements,” the Secretary of State said.
According to Rubio, the lack of cooperation from official Caracas poses a serious threat to regional and international security, allowing drug trafficking networks and criminal groups to operate freely.
His statements come at a time when the US administration is increasing diplomatic pressure on the Maduro regime, which Washington considers illegitimate, accusing it of serious human rights violations and links to organized crime.
