"Vote for Sarah"/ Fraudulent scheme spreading via WhatsApp link, could steal data

A new fraud scheme has been circulating on the WhatsApp application for several days and has also affected users in Albania.
The message, known as the “ballerina scam,” invites citizens to click a link to vote in a children’s dance competition, usually with the text: “Hi! Can you spare a moment to vote for Sarah? She’s my friend’s daughter and the winner gets a year of free dance lessons.”
According to reports, this seemingly harmless message is intended to steal user data.
After the user clicks the link, they are redirected to a page that mimics a voting platform for a children's dance competition. In reality, the page serves to steal data and infect the WhatsApp account.

Then, the compromised profile begins sending new links to contacts, often disguised as online games or fake offers, which can also lead to access to banking or financial applications.
Because the message is sent from real numbers and known contacts, users' vigilance is significantly lowered, causing the scheme to spread rapidly and create a chain of victims.
