A serious incident shook the city of Durrës, where 15-year-old Erion Boba lost his life after a fight between minors that started with insults on social media. Investigations so far have revealed that the victim and the 14-year-old arrested did not have a personal conflict, but were involved in a clash between Erion's friend and the perpetrator's brother.
According to investigative sources, the conflict began on TikTok, where insults and comments between the teenagers escalated into a “clarification meeting.” The young people were accompanied by their friends and met near the former Durrës Marsh on November 25, about 20 minutes from the “Dom Nikollë Kaçorri” school, where they both studied.
As the two groups got out of their cars, the argument turned into a physical altercation. According to witnesses, fists, umbrella poles, boards and sharp objects were used, but it has not yet been determined who was wielding the cutting tool that caused the tragedy.
During the fight, the 14-year-old with the initials MK stabbed Erion Boba four times, causing serious wounds to the chest and heart. He was rushed to the "Mother Teresa" hospital in Tirana, where he fought for his life for nine days, but unfortunately did not survive.
After the incident, the perpetrator and his friends fled, taking the murder weapon with them, which was later found in the car in which they had arrived at the scene.
