Fires burn down houses in two villages in Gramsh, a second victim and several others injured are suspected

An alarming situation prevails in rural areas in the municipality of Gramsh even during the late hours, as fires are still active.

The two villages of Shëmbërdhenj and Bletas are confirmed to have been completely destroyed, leaving behind only ash, dust and despair for the residents who lost everything.

Unfortunately, one person has been confirmed dead, while another is suspected to have also died. Several other residents were injured as a result of the spread of the flames.

The danger has not disappeared, on the contrary, the fire continues to advance and threatens the villages of Harunas, Nartë, Shelcan, Bulçar, Snosëm, Sojnik, Probat and Grabova e Poshtme.

Local authorities and emergency structures are on the ground, but face great difficulties due to the steep terrain, lack of infrastructure, and unfavorable weather conditions, as temperatures remain high.

Residents are demanding urgent intervention from the state and specialized forces to prevent the further spread of the flames and to secure the lives and property of citizens.
