Seven people were killed and 11 others were injured on Saturday morning when an intercity bus collided with a truck on a highway in southern Turkey, the regional governor's office said.
The accident occurred on the road connecting the cities of Adana and Gaziantep when the bus collided with a truck trailer that had stopped due to a flat tire, according to the state-run Anadolu news agency.
Video from the scene showed the front right side of the bus severely damaged by the collision with the rear of the truck, about 90 kilometers west of Gaziantep.

All of the victims and injured were on the bus and authorities are continuing efforts to identify the victims. The truck driver, who survived, was taken into custody, while police temporarily closed the road for investigations.
