EU against Trump over Ukraine, the union declares that borders cannot be changed by force - Vizion Plus

The European Union is firmly against the idea of changing Ukraine's current borders. The bloc's stance comes just days before US President Donald Trump meets with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to discuss ending the Russian occupation of Ukraine that began in 2022.

"We, EU leaders, welcome President Trump's efforts towards ending Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine and achieving a just and lasting peace and security for Ukraine."

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and European leaders are expected to hold talks with Trump on Wednesday.

The White House chief of staff said he wanted to see and assess the Russian leader's ideas for ending the war in Ukraine in Alaska.
But he has recently suggested that a territorial swap could help achieve peace.
