Disguised as Albanian and drug trafficker, a Swiss citizen with staggering

On January 9, 2026, in the city of Santa Marta in Colombia, Swiss citizen Vik Ntominik Gioel was arrested, declared internationally wanted by Interpol through a Red Notice, at the request of the judicial authorities of the Kingdom of Spain.

Investigations show that the arrested person had a role in coordinating drug shipments to European countries, with a main focus on Spain.

Authorities discovered that he used multiple identification documents, including Greek, Spanish and Belgian, as well as documents obtained irregularly in Colombia.

To avoid immigration and police checks, he posed as an Albanian citizen with the name Xhuti Zuluaga Arsen.

According to authorities, Gioel is suspected of drug trafficking and membership in a criminal organization, which operated on a large scale in several countries.

He is considered a key figure in a criminal organization, with an important role in the logistical coordination, infrastructure and operation of clandestine laboratories for the processing of cocaine and cannabis, mainly in the Albalat de Taronchers area, in Valencia, Spain.

The arrest was made possible after confirmation of his presence in Colombian territory by INTERPOL's National Central Bureau (NCB), after about six months of intensive investigations conducted in international cooperation.
