India, fire in nightclub/ Gas cylinder explodes, 25 dead, including tourists

At least 25 people have died in a fire at a popular nightclub in the coastal region of Goa in India.
It is believed that most of the victims are staff at the Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub, but there are also tourists among the dead.
The cause of the fire is suspected to have been a gas cylinder in the club's kitchen, the explosion of which caused flames that consumed the entire environment.
The bar was packed as a specialist Bollywood DJ was playing music in the evening, while the area where the fire occurred is filled with similar nightclubs.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi called the fire in Goa deeply saddening in a social media post.
Goa is a former Portuguese colony on the Arabian Sea. Its nightlife, sandy beaches and resorts attract millions of tourists every year.
About 5.5 million tourists visited the area in the first half of the year, with 270,000 coming from abroad, according to government data.
India has faced a number of deadly fires at entertainment venues in recent years.
