"There are 120 minors in rehabilitation at the Kavaja Institute"/

Journalist Anila Hoxha raised the alarm about the worrying increase in violence among minors and the lack of institutional response to prevent it.

Invited to the show "Top Story" with Grida Duma, she emphasized that incidents among young people are becoming increasingly frequent and often end tragically.

According to the data she made public, there are currently 120 young people in rehabilitation at the Juvenile Institute in Kavaja, of whom 20 have been convicted of murder and 18 of injury.

"We have done interviews, campaigns and awareness raising many times and we have sounded the alarm bells. If everyone did this task that the media does, we would be in a different situation. Then we go to awareness raising. Everyone together is thought to create that wall to protect the child, but this wall only seems to exist because in fact it is not.

At the Kavaja Institute we have 120 children, 20 of whom are for murder and 18 for injury. That institute works to eradicate these prototypes.

When I did the Exclusive "Our Children", I received extraordinary phone calls from parents whose children had been injured, one of whom had been paralyzed because he had been stabbed.

When Can's murder happened. A friend took her son out of school because her child was being bullied. And that's a problem because bullies don't get punished.

The incidents with gloves happened. The institutions also designated it as a cold weapon because up until that point, you could be injured by being hit with a glove and it was called a beating.

"Today's fashion is baseball bats because it is called beating, so in short, the law somehow protects them,"  said Anila Hoxha.
