A minor girl, who escaped the tragedy at the disco that caught fire on the evening of March 16 in Kočani, North Macedonia, has recounted the event before and after the fire broke out.

She claimed that during big concerts there were always pyrotechnics. According to her testimony, at first no one took the flames seriously, but when one of the singers screamed, they ran outside.

"Everyone was filming, everyone thought it was a joke, they didn't think it would spread so quickly. They didn't take it seriously. When the singer screamed, I immediately went outside. There was a lot of commotion in front of the door, people were running, I don't know how I got out. Some stayed until the end, they thought nothing would happen," she said, according to klan.mk.

On the tragic night, the police were also present at the disco, but according to the minor, they did not help enough.

According to her, there have always been minors in this discotheque and it has been common for minors to enter the discotheque if you pay for the ticket.

"Every weekend I went to the disco. That night there were a lot of people, 50% more than allowed. Many people I know who are now injured, entered without tickets. Even though they say 500 were sold, many people entered without tickets," she said.

We recall that the fire at the "Pulse" discotheque killed 59 people, including 6 minors, and injured over 200 others.
