Pentagon Reaches Agreements with 7 Artificial Intelligence Giants

The Pentagon has reached agreements with seven leading artificial intelligence companies to use their advanced systems on classified U.S. Department of Defense networks, part of an effort to expand the range of AI providers working with the military.
The deal includes SpaceX, OpenAI, Google, NVIDIA, Reflection, Microsoft and Amazon Web Services, many of which already have partnerships with the Pentagon.
The technology is gaining increasing importance, with the Pentagon's central AI platform, GenAI.mil, now used by more than 1.3 million Defense Department employees, according to publicly available data.
Google has already signed an agreement that allows the Department of Defense to use its models in classified operational applications, further strengthening the integration of AI into the military ecosystem.
