Fatah, the party of Palestinian President Abu Mazen, is calling on Hamas to leave power in Gaza to preserve the " Palestinian presence " in the Strip, while Israel intensifies military operations, threatening to displace the population and annex parts of the territory.
" Hamas must show compassion for Gaza, its children, women and men."
“We warn of difficult, difficult and painful days for the population,” said Mounther al-Hayek, a Fatah spokesman, calling on Hamas “to leave the stage and understand that the coming battle will end the existence of the Palestinians ” in Gaza.
