Nuclear program, Iran: We will dilute uranium if the US lifts sanctions

Iran has said it is ready to dilute its highly enriched uranium if the United States lifts all economic sanctions on Tehran.

The statement was made by the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, Mohammad Eslami, following the resumption of talks between the two countries on the Iranian nuclear program.

According to the official Iranian news agency IRNA, Eslami said that the possibility of diluting enriched uranium to 60% depends directly on the complete lifting of sanctions by the US.

Before the US and Israeli attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities in June 2025, Iran had reached a uranium enrichment level of 60%, well above the 3.67% limit stipulated by the 2015 nuclear deal, which is no longer in force.
