Edi Rama also lost a battle with Justice. Now, as he knows well, he must try to recover his image at least a little in the Mandates Council, by unconditionally releasing Balluk. His criminal pressure on justice is another black mark on his name. Rama has also played this game with Tahiri and others, but if Rama felt less personally at risk then, today his files are an alarm bell from Washington to Brussels.
Rama was hoping that with a possible trip to the White House on February 19, which Sali Berisha made possible by voting for his name on the "Peace Board", he would blackmail and complicate the Albanian justice system even more. But the Americans quickly ruined his game. The judges of the Constitutional Court were forced to sit down yesterday to make a decision.

A decision that brought down not only Rama, but also Berisha.

If one looks carefully at who was concerned by the Constitutional Court's decision and who rushed to attack it, it is clear that Sali Berisha and his circle were eagerly awaiting the decision to be in favor of Edi Rama.

Since the morning, Berisha had started preparing public opinion, declaring that the majority in the Constitutional Court would vote in favor of Rama. In fact, if the votes are analyzed, it turns out that one of the votes in favor of Rama is linked to names previously supported by Berisha and Meta, which shows that the political calculations for five votes in favor of the prime minister had been made for a long time. It is no coincidence that the member of the Constitutional Court, Sonila Bejtja, the wife of the director of Sali Berisha's television, was also mentioned in favor of Rama.

The decision was described as a "disaster" by all voices close to Berisha, while for many citizens it was seen as a moment where justice managed to stand up in the face of strong political pressure. Pressure that was exerted on the members of the Constitutional Court by the government and criminal interests connected to it.

The four judges who voted against Rama and Berisha are the heroes of Albanians, a symbol of the resistance of justice, while political responsibility and shame remain on those who aligned themselves with the logic of political interests.

Sali Berisha remains interested in justice bowing down to Rama, as a weak justice system would be a salvation for him as well. But this phase seems to be coming to an end. The US and the EU remain the guarantors of a justice system that neither Rama nor Berisha can blackmail anymore. Now all that is left for them is to appear before it and account for what they have done!/Alfapress.al

Attempts to influence justice, in the end, only worsen their positions before the law and international factors.
