Massive protests in Iran, 51 citizens lose their lives, including 9 minors

More than 50 protesters have been killed in nearly two weeks of protests in Iran, sparked by public anger over rising living costs, a Norwegian human rights group said on Tuesday.

According to the Iran Human Rights organization, at least 51 protesters, including nine minors under the age of 18, have been killed during the first 13 days of the new round of nationwide protests. Hundreds of others have also been injured in clashes during the demonstrations.

The organization has expressed deep concern about the use of force against protesters and has called for respect for human rights and an independent investigation into the events.
