Air force plane crashes, two dead in Italy

Two members of the Italian air force died after their T-260B aircraft crashed on Wednesday (1/10) during training exercises over the Circeo National Park, south of Rome near the town of Sabaudia.
Rescue teams reportedly found the burning wreckage of the plane and the bodies of Air Force members inside.
The plane crashed near one of the park's entrances, in a wooded area where no one was at the time. The causes of the plane crash are still unknown.
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni posted on the social network "X" expressing condolences to the families of the victims, the Air Force and the entire Ministry of Defense.
I express my deepest condolences for the incident that occurred in an aircraft of the Aeronautica Militare near the Parco Nazionale del Circeo. La mia vicinanza e quella del Governo alle famiglie delle vittime, all'Aeronautica Militare ea tutta la Difesa.
