Russia and Ukraine continue attacks despite declared ceasefire, attacks also in Moscow

Russia and Ukraine have accused each other of violating unilaterally declared ceasefires, as Moscow prepares for the traditional Victory Day parade in World War II under tight security.
Four years after the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, the fighting continues with no sign of an end, with both sides continuing attacks with missiles, drones and artillery.
The Russian Defense Ministry said 264 Ukrainian drones were shot down in the early hours of Friday. Meanwhile, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said the Russian capital had been targeted, while officials also reported drone strikes in the Perm region in the Urals.
On the other hand, Ukraine announced that it had struck a Russian oil refinery in Perm for the second day in a row, as well as another energy facility in the city of Yaroslavl.
Moscow has warned that any attempt by Ukraine to disrupt the Victory Day military parade in Red Square will be followed by a massive missile attack on Kyiv.
According to reports, Russian authorities have called on foreign diplomats to leave the Ukrainian capital in case Ukraine launches attacks during ceremonies in Moscow.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Russian forces continued shelling overnight, adding that this shows that Moscow "has not made even a symbolic attempt at a ceasefire on the front line."
