"Russia will face serious consequences if it does not end the war", Trump: I am holding this summit to save many lives

President Donald Trump has declared from the board of presidential jetliner that he is not trying to end the war in Ukraine, including meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska, to improve his life.

" I'm not doing this for myself. Okay, I don't need it," he told reporters aboard Air Force One as he headed to Anchorage for the summit. "I would like to focus on our country, but I'm doing this to save a lot of lives ," Trump said.

He said the consequences for Russia if Putin refuses to end the war will be punitive.

" Yes, it will be very severe ," he said of possible economic measures against Moscow.
