"He's a hero!"/ Disarmed the aggressor of the massacre in Australia, family members: He was wounded by two bullets! His condition ...

The hero who intervened to save lives during the armed attack on Bondi Beach, in Sydney, has been identified as Ahmed al-Ahmed, a 43-year-old fruit shop owner from the Sutherland Shire area.
According to reports, al-Ahmed is in critical condition and undergoing surgery after being shot while disarming one of the attackers who was shooting during an event celebrating the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah.
Video footage circulating on social media shows the moment when the man, wearing a white T-shirt, suddenly approaches the armed attacker, takes the weapon from his hands and forces him to leave the scene, preventing even more serious consequences.
According to a relative, Ahmed al-Ahmed suffered two gunshot wounds, one to the hand and one to the arm, but is recovering well in hospital. Seven News reports that he had no experience with weapons and acted instinctively to protect those around him.
A family member, speaking outside a major Sydney hospital where victims of the attack are being treated, said family members would soon be allowed to visit him. "We hope he's okay. They'll let us see him in the next two hours because he's in surgery. He's a hero, 100 percent, he's a hero," the relative said.
Ahmed al-Ahmed's courageous action is being widely credited as crucial in saving lives during the tragic event.
